Safety specialist HIMA opens regional headquarters in Singapore

Safety specialist HIMA has offices in Perth, Brisbane, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul and Tokyo and works with a network of partners in other countries in the region. In response to increasing demand, HIMA has now opened a new regional headquarters in Singapore.

“Singapore is the perfect location for coordinating activities in the region. From here we are well positioned to serve clients and develop new business in Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and across Southeast Asia,” HIMA Director Sales Asia Pacific Jeyan Nadarajah said.

The new name ‘HIMA Asia Pacific’ reflects the safety specialist’s strategy to unify its brand around the world and deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience.

“Our goal is to build and maintain a strong global brand image that customers recognise and trust for leading-edge safety expertise,” HIMA Group Managing Partner Steffen Philipp added.

One of HIMA’s most significant ongoing assignments in Asia Pacific is Ichthys, the Australian LNG project operated by INPEX, for which HIMA is supplying the project’s safety systems.

“Most day-to-day work with fellow project suppliers takes place in Singapore. That’s also where function tests have been conducted on more than 1200 cabinets supplied by the basic process control system (BPCS) supplier, HIMA and project partners,” Nadarajah stated.

HIMA offices in Singapore, China (Shanghai), South Korea (Geoje), Australia (Perth), Dubai (UAE) and Germany (Bruehl) have collaborated closely on the project.
