RS Components adds power transmission products from Freudenberg Sealing Technologies

RS Components has announced a distribution agreement with Freudenberg Sealing Technologies, bringing high-performance rotating shaft seals and radial shaft seals to the RS range of power transmission products that also includes gaskets, gland and valve packings, and O-rings from top OEMs.

The Freudenberg seals, previously known under the Simrit brand, are claimed to benefit from superior wear and heat-generation characteristics. This helps reduce power losses while extending working life, minimising disruptive equipment downtime and lowering running costs.

Enhanced performance and economy make the seals a suitable choice in sectors such as aerospace, transportation, automotive, industrial automation and energy and power generation, for purposes such as power transmission, fluid handling and machine tools. They can be used with mineral and synthetic oils and greases, in a wide range of applications including axles, power tools, industrial gearboxes, motors and pumps.

RS will ship Freudenberg seals from stock with no minimum order quantity, thereby providing a convenient and cost-effective source for prototyping or production purposes.
