Pump technology training program

The Pump Technology Training Program is a Level 1 training course being conducted by Australian Industrial Marketing (AIM) in Brisbane on 10 and 11 August 2010. The two-day program comprises four sessions and will be held in the board room of Pump Engineers (Australia) at 4/45 Canberra Street, Hemmant.

The first day includes sessions on: pump tyres and construction, and pump systems and pump selection. Day two includes a session on pump operation and fluid parameters, and testing, installation and troubleshooting.

Participants will be given assignments for each session which will form the basis of assessment at the end of the course, with completion certificates being presented to successful candidates.

The program also includes a copy of the latest edition of PIA Technical & Friction handbooks, course notes and lunch. Participants should bring notepad, pencils and calculator for in-session worked examples.
