Pepperl+Fuchs acquires Govan Industries assets
Pepperl+Fuchs has acquired all the assets of Melbourne-based Govan Industries. Pepperl+Fuchs says the acquisition will allow it to increase expertise and capacity in the manufacture of electromechanical explosion protection products for use in hazardous areas and harsh environments.
Since 1949, Govan has been a supplier of electromechanical explosion protection. Leveraging from this expertise, Pepperl+Fuchs Australia Pty Ltd has announced that it will continue to supply Govan products from the dedicated 4000 m2 facility in Campbellfield Industrial Park, Melbourne.
The products will now carry the title GOVAN - A Pepperl+Fuchs Brand.
A complete range of mechanical explosion protection products and customised solutions is manufactured in the Melbourne facility to support customers throughout the Australia and the South-East Asian markets.
Leveraging from Govan’s experience, Pepperl+Fuchs will manufacture customised enclosures, a comprehensive range of multifunction local control stations and control panels. Standard and customised local control stations in glass reinforced polyester and stainless steel enclosures are complemented by Exd IIC Local Control Stations utilising cast aluminium and stainless steel enclosures.
