Opengear wins iAward for ACM5500
Opengear took out the Tools and Infrastructure category at the iAwards ceremony last week for its ACM5500 Remote Infrastructure Management Gateway. The company will now represent Australia at the APICTA (Asia Pacific ICT Alliance) Awards in Brunei in December.
“It’s a great opportunity to raise our profile in a neighbouring region and to show we can develop world-beating products here in Australia,” said Opengear Chairperson Bob Waldie.
The product was also awarded the Most Innovative IT Hardware product in May at the 2012 Hot Companies and Best Products Awards at the Interop trade show in Las Vegas.
“Winning the iAward gives us a big boost for our profile here in Australia, particular in the mining and resources sectors,” said Opengear National Sales Manager Brendan Baker. “It gives our prospective customers confidence that they’re adopting a high-quality solution.”
The company’s Remote Infrastructure Management Gateway has recently been used to monitor and manage communications cabinets along the $1.95 billion Ipswich Motorway extension.
