NI and UniMAP collaborate to advance engineering and robotics education
National Instruments (NI) and Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) have announced their collaboration in advancing engineering and robotics education, signing a memorandum of understanding at UniMAP’s Agrotechnology Research Station.
The partnership will see five training laboratories equipped with NI hardware and LabVIEW graphical programming software. This will give students hands-on experience with industry tools such as Agrotonics Engineering (ATE), Mobile Radio and Propagation (MRPRO), Bio-inspired Mobile Olfaction and Robotics (B-MOR), Sensors Instrumentations and Applications (SINAP) and Wireless Sensor and Actuator Network (WSAN).
“Our partnership with UniMAP demonstrates our steadfast commitment to the research and academic community, as well as to the economic progress of Penang, Malaysia,” said Scott Rust, Vice President of R&D, National Instruments.
