NHP partnering to help disadvantaged kids

NHP is partnering with Southern Cross Kids’ Camps (SCKC) to assist it in expanding its programs across Australia and New Zealand to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged kids.

“This affiliation is one we are very proud of and, as part of our overall community engagement commitment, places us in a position to give back to the community with a charitable organisation whose guiding principles align closely with our own,” said NHP’s chief marketing officer, Geoff Thorp.

NHP will support SCKC in its quest to run a network of camps for disadvantaged kids aged 7–11 years old who have been child victims of abuse, domestic violence and neglect. These carefully organised events inject positivity, a sense of stability and a happy experience into the lives of these underprivileged children. Not only are the activities conducted throughout the camps fun, but there are also targeted undertones which provide educational lessons, guidance and life skills.

“At Southern Cross Kids’ Camps, we provide a week of happy memories for kids who have been subjected to abuse and neglect. We really appreciate NHP’s commendable generosity to not only us, but supporting causes that benefit the broader community, with no direct benefit to themselves. It empowers us to do what we do best, and that is serve the kids in our community who are most in need,” said SCKC’s general manager, Peter Lusk.

This October, in support of SCKC and its 10-year anniversary, NHP will be a major sponsor of the 2017 ‘Out of the Rough’ Golf Day in an effort to raise funds for it to continue and further enhance its charitable offerings. The event will be held at one of Australia’s leading golf courses, Huntingdale Golf Club, on the famous Melbourne Sandbelt.
