New opportunities for EPCs, systems integrators and engineering operations
With the downturn in general manufacturing and a cooler mining sector than we have seen in many years, engineering firms are seeking new opportunities in growth sectors such as water, energy, food and infrastructure. The impact of the Internet of Things, the connected enterprise and the coming of Industry 4.0 will necessitate a different mindset when it comes to training staff and preparing your business for a technology-dominated future.
A unique new conference and expo coming to Sydney next month will focus on many of the above topics and provide a platform for automation & control engineers and management to learn, network and do business. The ACI Connect conference and expo will take place 12-13 August at Sydney Showground. Keynote presentations from tech and engineering leaders from IBM, Siemens and Aurecon will focus on the future of manufacturing, IoT and industry, and asset optimisation via data analytics.
The event will also host the inaugural Engineers Australia Future Tech Forum, featuring presentations on water, energy and building control and automation, and the battle of the industrial communications protocols at the Future Networks Forum. The expo will feature over 30 leading vendors with a variety of presentation at the Live Vendor Theatre.
