National Manufacturing Week has been launched for 2010 with a new branding and an improved format. The exhibition, to be held in Sydney from 11-14 May 2010, has a fresh, contemporary layout, reflecting expanded investment in making the event a strategic resource for manufacturers through improved and additional services.

“Australia’s manufacturing sector has weathered the downturn, and is now expanding again - suggesting we have a lead on the rest of the world that could yield real opportunities in 2010. It is intended that NMW2010 will help industry leverage these opportunities by acting as a hub through which manufacturers, suppliers and customers can get actionable ideas for their businesses,” said Paul Baker, Exhibition Manager.

“NMW2010 will be the event that strengthens Australian manufacturing through technology, innovation and education. Our focus is on creating an optimum trading environment for all participants: for instance, the exhibition has been redesigned around 10 Product Zones, colour-coded to clearly define one industry sector from the next to make it easier for buyers and suppliers to find each other.

When last held in Sydney in 2008, NMW attracted more than 11,000 unique trade visitors and over 350 exhibiting companies, making it Australia’s largest manufacturing exhibition. The 2010 event will take place against the backdrop of an improving economy and will offer participants new features and events, as well as the advantages of its new location at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park - in the heart of the largest manufacturing region in Australia.
