Metso to build valve technology centre in Korea
Metso has announced plans to build a greenfield global valve technology centre in Chungju, South Korea, in response to the growing global demand for reliable valve technology. The new facility will begin global deliveries in September.
In addition to manufacturing, the centre will feature state-of-the-art control valve testing facilities and engineering services to ensure flexible and timely deliveries worldwide. The new centre will also house research and development, engineering and service support units for South Korean EPC companies, which play a major role in many projects worldwide.
The company has opened valve technology centres in Shanghai, Finland, India and the US between 2010 and 2012. The company also operates industrial valve technology and supply centres in Brazil and Germany, as well as more than 55 Metso Automation service hubs and over 30 valve service centres around the world.
