Metso honoured at Queensland Export Awards

Metso’s Process Technology and Innovation (PTI) team has been honoured at the Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards for its delivery of innovative technical solutions to the global resources industry.

The PTI team provides specialised consulting services, research and products to improve the productivity and sustainability of mining operations around the world.

The team was selected as a finalist in the Minerals and Energy category of the Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards, announced in Brisbane on 24 October. The Minerals and Energy Award is presented for outstanding international success in the production or primary processing of extractive and value-added minerals or energy products, technology, equipment and services to the minerals and energy industries.

“This truly is a wonderful achievement for you and your staff,” Rod Whiddon, managing director of Trade and Investment Queensland, said when congratulating Metso’s Dr Walter Valery on the team’s success.

“The Premier of Queensland’s Export awards are Queensland’s highest recognition of export achievement. In becoming a finalist of this award you have demonstrated the talent and innovative spirit that always wins accolades.”
