GroundProbe and Geoforce merge
GroundProbe and Geoforce have announced the signing of an agreement for GroundProbe to purchase the shares of Geoforce and merge the two companies.
Geoforce will now operate as a wholly owned subsidiary and division of GroundProbe. This new division will provide a broad range of geophysical services for the mining, infrastructure and environmental sectors.
"In addition to the clear strategic benefits of combining two highly complementary organisations, we can create substantial shareowner value through the provision of a more complete suite of services, leading to new growth opportunities,” said Lyle Bruce, GroundProbe CEO.
"Geoforce is proud to be a new division of GroundProbe and is committed to increasing value and reducing risk for an expanded international customer base,” said Eric Wedepohl, former managing director of Geoforce and now GroundProbe’s general manager of Geophysics.
“We are creating a new kind of industry leader based on shared values of customer success, pride in people and technologies and aggressive pursuit of growth opportunities.”
The merged company employs 150 staff and is headquartered in Brisbane, with a major presence in Western Australia through offices in Perth and Kambalda. GroundProbe also operates offices in South Africa, the US and Chile.
