Food-safe lubricants on display at foodpro 2014
Fuchs will showcase its range of food-grade lubricants at foodpro in June. Australia’s largest food manufacturing event, foodpro will be held in Melbourne for the first time in the event’s history.
Cassida, Fuchs’ range of food-grade lubricant technology, will be on display. The company will promote safer food manufacturing practices and educate the industry on its food-safe products.
“Our Cassida portfolio covers a full range of food-grade lubricants including specialty oils and greases, giving your business the opportunity to improve efficiency, performance, safety and quality,” said Scott Oliver, business development manager - specialist markets, Fuchs Lubricants (Australasia) Pty Ltd.
“Fuchs first exhibited the Cassida range in 2011, just after our acquisition of the Cassida brand from Shell. The products are the same but we’ve increased the range and packaging has been improved to be more user-friendly.
“Cases of food contamination can result from using unsafe or non-food-grade lubricants in a process where food may come in contact with machinery. We usually hear about these cases happening when someone picks up the wrong lube, so we always recommend switching to using food-grade lubricants across the board.”
foodpro will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 22 to 25 June 2014. For more information, visit www.foodproexh.com.
