FDT Group announces record surge in DTM certifications
The FDT Group Certification Office recorded a surge in DTM certifications earlier this year, issuing 42 certificates for 900 intelligent devices in the first six months of 2012.
The company advises vendors who wish to have their FDT DTMs certified as complying with the FDT standard to submit their DTM to an authorised, independent test laboratory for automated and manual tests. Once testing is successfully completed, the FDT Group will issue a certificate of conformance.
“We are very pleased to see the continued adoption of the FDT standard,” said Katrien Peeters. “We are on pace to experience our highest annual volume of certifications in the history of the program.
“We anticipate that certifications for the new FDT2 standard will add to this volume as the year progresses as the new highly tested FDT2 Common Components will help vendors streamline the entire certification process.”
