Emerson opens office in Ho Chi Minh City

Emerson Process Management Asia Pacific is expanding its investment in the growing Vietnam economy by establishing a new sales, engineering and service office in the Alpha Tower at 151 Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City. The office will be locally staffed and dedicated to serving Emerson customers in Vietnam.

On September 23, Emerson Process Management (Vietnam) hosted city officials and representatives of leading Vietnam companies at a grand opening of the new office. Visitors were greeted by Sabee Mitra, President of Emerson Process Management Asia Pacific, and Dominic Tang, General Manager Southeast Asia and Taiwan. They heard an update on Emerson’s technologies and solutions by Hakan Erdamar, Vice President of Marketing & Services, Emerson Process Management Asia Pacific and toured the new facilities in which Emerson’s latest automation products were demonstrated.

“Vietnam represents a strong emerging market for Emerson technologies and services,” Sabee said, “and we are investing here now to provide a base for meeting the needs of local industry with engineering and service support. In the future, Emerson expects to participate in major offshore oil and gas, refining and power generation projects in Vietnam, offering its complete portfolio of automation products and services in conjunction with our local business partners.”

According to Alen Lim, General Manager for Emerson Process Management Vietnam, “It is our vision to be a trusted and reliable automation solutions provider in Vietnam by being close to our customers and responsive to their needs with the latest innovations and technologies. These include advanced industrial control systems, intelligent instrumentation, wireless communications and an array of hardware and software solutions designed to help customers increase efficiency, produce higher quality goods, reduce costs and protect the environment.”
