Champion Compressors has appointed automation and process-control specialist Remtron Automation as an exclusive servicing distributor for the Albury Wodonga area.

According to Quentin St Baker, Champion Compressors' State Sales Manager for Victoria and Tasmania, the agreement will provide local industry with compressed-air expertise and support for both sales and servicing. “Industry will benefit from having a service distributor who is able to address the entire pneumatics solution from the compressor itself to the factory floor,” he said. “Remtron’s presence in the area will mean that service technicians of Champion equipment are more locally based and therefore better placed to provide a rapid response.”

Remtron Automation Account Manager Daniel Castley further explained that the company has a Champion-trained service technician on its team. “This will ensure that local users of Champion’s compressors will enjoy a level of service and support that is essentially an extension of that from the Champion team,” he said. “We’re proud to represent Champion, as its compressors ideally complement our pneumatic solutions packages. Champion’s compressors are Australian made and have an enviable reputation for superior reliability and performance in hot, humid and dusty conditions.”

Remtron is Australian owned and understands the advantage of working with a company that manufactures its compressors domestically. “Not being reliant on imports — with the inherent delays and restrictions to product ranges that this inevitably incurs — is a major advantage,” Castley said. “Having access to Champion’s entire product line-up will facilitate Remtron’s ability to engineer a pneumatic solution to the exact end-user’s requirements. Moreover, it will allow us seamless access to spare parts from Champion.
