Bowen was most recently Managing Director of Macmahon Holdings. He is a highly experienced senior manager with deep experience in the sector and across international operations.
“The appointment of Nick Bowen adds significant strength to the executive management team and his experience in the mining sector will be invaluable in enhancing Orica’s ability to meet the needs of its customers,” said Orica Managing Director and CEO Ian Smith.
In addition, Craig Elkington has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer. Elkington has commenced the formal handover process with outgoing CFO Noel Meehan, who will leave Orica at the end of October.
James Bonnor, current General Manager Mining Services Australia Pacific region, will act as Executive Global Head Mining Services until Bowen commences the role.
