Bonfiglioli appoints quality manager to implement ISO 9001
As Bonfiglioli extends the benefits of ISO 9001 quality management standards across its Australia and New Zealand branches, it has appointed Paul Johnson as operations and quality assurance coordinator to optimise benefits to customers.
Johnson, who has more than 10 years of quality assurance experience, will extend Bonfiglioli’s ongoing focus on quality and customer service as it celebrates its 25th year of operation in Australia. Paul started his career in the UK as a machinist for an automotive company. After four years in this role, he progressed to the quality assurance (QA) department as the business diversified into aerospace as well as automotive. He then moved to Australia where he worked for a precision-engineered medical device manufacturer for close to four years. |

“This wealth of experience will complement Bonfiglioli’s ongoing emphasis on providing quality products and services to its customers, while also implementing ISO9001 as the internationally recognised standard for the quality management of businesses,” says Bonfiglioli’s managing director for Australia and New Zealand, Malcolm Lewis.
One of Paul’s main roles initially will be to implement ISO 9001 certification and extend its benefits to customers through demonstrating that the organisation is devoted to a process of continuous improvement by optimising procedures and processes as well as ensuring the highest quality of products and services. “We have always been devoted to quality, and this is a further step to prove this to our valued customers in quality conscious industries, including bulk materials handling, food and beverage production and maintenance; manufacturing; mining and energy, oil and gas, and primary production,” says Lewis.
ISO 9001 benefits to customers include assurance of global standards of consistency, quality and supply of products. In addition to the quality of products, it also ensures the highest levels of customer service in all aspects of dealing with the company.
“Paul is ideally qualified to take on this role,” Lewis said. “His engineering and service background fits perfectly with our business, and having over a decade of quality assurance experience will allow him to help optimise efficiency and ultimately ensure a top-quality product for our customers,” he said.
