Applicants called for major logistics award
Applications are now open for the 2008 Logistics Development Award (LDA).
The winner of the annual award will have an opportunity to travel overseas and witness the latest logistics trends, developing their skills and knowledge in the field.
Sponsored by Chep Asia-Pacific, the LDA is open to candidates at all levels of their careers. Applicants do not have to be members of Logistics Association of Australia (LAA).
“Through Chep’s generous sponsorship of the LDA over the past 16 years, many young professionals in the logistics and supply chain industry have been able to extend their experience and gain knowledge of worldwide trends in our industry,” said LAA director Joe Famularo.
The 2008 LDA major prizewinner will attend the Annual Conference of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals — the largest industry conference on the international calendar — in Denver, Colorado, US, from 5–8 October. The award includes return airfares, conference registration, accommodation, all expenses related to attendance at the conference and site visits of the winner’s choice before or after the conference. The winner will have an exceptional opportunity to hear and meet some of the world’s foremost logistical experts at the global logistics event of the year.
Two runner-up prizes, to the value of $1500 each, are offered to contribute towards the costs of winners attending a logistics or supply chain conference within the Australia–Pacific region. There are also three book prizes of $200 each.
