All-Energy Australia 2021 launches virtual conference

In partnership with the Clean Energy Council, All-Energy Australia will host a free-to-attend virtual conference from 19 – 28 October, featuring 11 sessions and over 50 leading experts from across the clean energy sector.

“Whilst disappointingly we cannot meet face to face this October for the industry’s largest gathering, we all know business must go on! To support industry growth, we are pleased to launch our Virtual Conference for 2021, bringing you the very best of our face-to-face event, online. The 2021 program has been curated to offer the same calibre of sessions and speakers as our face-to-face event,” Robby Clark, Exhibition Director at All-Energy Australia, said.

“This year’s All-Energy Australia conference comes at a pivotal moment for the Australian renewable energy industry. Australia’s clean energy transition has accelerated significantly in the past several years, with both the small- and utility-scale sectors experiencing unprecedented growth and exciting new technologies emerging to offer a clearer vision of Australia’s renewable energy future. However, we are only at the beginning of our clean energy journey, and much still needs to be done to ensure that we continue to accelerate the renewable energy transition,” said Kane Thornton, Chief Executive of the Clean Energy Council.

The 2-week program will focus on the latest developments, challenges and opportunities facing the industry, including the road to net zero, hydrogen supply chain, community batteries, electric vehicles and more.

Day 1 of All-Energy Australia’s Virtual Conference will kick off with a joint opening plenary with Energy Efficiency Expo, with Kane Thornton (Chief Executive, Clean Energy Council), The Hon Lily D’Ambrosio MP (Victorian Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change) and The Hon Chris Bowen MP (Shadow Minister for Climate Change and Energy) to open proceedings. This will be followed by a panel discussion, chaired by Luke Menzel (CEO, Energy Efficiency Council), titled ‘The Pathway to Net Zero’, discussing climate and decarbonisation in the lead-up to COP26 in Glasgow later this month.

The conference will offer attendees free access to insights from industry experts, including Anna Malos (Country Lead – Australia, ClimateWorks), Richard Lowe (CEO, Lumea), Stan Krpan (CEO, Solar Victoria), Renata Bergla (Chair, H2Q), Chris Wallin (Commercial Program Manager, Yarra Energy), Vincent Dwyer (Principal, Energy Estate), Dr Fiona Simon (CEO, Australian Hydrogen Council) and many more.

Alongside the conference, the Clean Energy Council will host the Solar Masterclass Series on Wednesday, 20 October and Wednesday, 27 October, allowing solar installers the opportunity to get expert advice on the big design and installation issues facing the industry and claim CPD points for those eligible. Attendance for the Solar Masterclass Series is also free.

All-Energy Australia’s Virtual Conference will take place from 19–28 October and will be held alongside virtual conferences for Energy Efficiency Expo and Waste Expo Australia.
