More than 90 exhibitors are confirmed for EMEX 2014, the biennial engineering, manufacturing, machinery, electronics and technology industry event. Event organisers say that, of the 90-plus exhibitors, more than 35% are new to the show.

“Industry exhibitors and visitors are anticipating a great show, and many new sector companies are investing in EMEX being a great showcase for their products. With the theme of this year’s EMEX being ‘Where New Zealand Manufacturing Innovation Takes Off!’, suppliers will be showing the latest cutting-edge technologies for every aspect of the manufacturing process from design right through to delivery,” said EMEX sales manager Mike Lust.

The show’s centrepiece will be a New Zealand-designed and built carbon-fibre composite helicopter. Visitors can enter the draw to win a ride in the helicopter.

Seminar topics for the event include: innovation strategy; the economy and how it affects manufacturers; supply chain; retention of manufacturing in New Zealand; and market research and marketing.

Confirmed exhibitors include Tasman Machinery, Design Energy, Powerbox Pacific, ReCoila Hose Reels, Delcam and element14.

“Every EMEX, the buzz grows. With world-class seminars, the cream of suppliers, a myriad of opportunities to network and do beneficial business, and the chance to win a brand new Ford and other great prizes, there are more reasons to attend than ever,” Lust said.

EMEX 2014 will be held over 27 to 29 May 2014 at the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland. Industry professionals can register to attend for free at www.emex.co.nz.
