Interworld Electronics has released the Quatech ABDG-ET-IN5010 Airborne industrial wireless ethernet bridge. The Airborne products are a line of integrated 802.11 radios and device servers, designed to address the demands of complex machine-to-machine (M2M) applications.

Utilising 802.11 microprocessor and network technologies, the Airborne family of products provides a solution for wireless applications requiring performance, reliability and advanced security.

The ABDG-ET-IN5010 allows an ethernet-enabled device to connect to a wireless 802.11 network. Integrated network address translation (NAT) functionality provides plug-and-play connectivity and simple integration to any system with an ethernet port. The ABDG-ET-IN5010 includes an autosensing 10/100 Mbps ethernet port, an 802.11b/g radio and a high-performance ARM9 MCU running embedded Linux.

The ABDG-ET-IN5010 supports the WPA2 security standard for enterprise networks as well as WEP, WPA 802.11i and pre-shared key (PSK). A wide range of EAP, PEAP and LEAP processes is also supported.

The ethernet bridge features a wide operating temperature range (-40 to +85°C), a wide power supply input range (5 to 36 VDC) and convenient terminal blocks, and is packaged in a ruggedised metal enclosure to withstand harsh conditions and environments.
