The igubal clevis joint is manufactured from a highly resistant plastic material for use with pneumatic cylinders, gas struts, cabinet building, guarding, agricultural and general mechanical engineering industries, handling technology, the automotive industry, model making and valve controls.

Load capacity of the clevis joint is very high, even at increased ambient temperatures. Although the part has a small mass, it can take a high load, has good damping characteristics and weighs only one fifth of a conventional metal clevis joint.

Manufactured by igus, the igubal clevis joints can be used in wet and humid environments and weak acids and alkalis. The temperature range is from -30 to +80°C.

The units can be used dry and do not require additional lubrication. The material is fibre reinforced, and various filling materials optimise the mechanical characteristics.

This results in a highly wear resistant and dimensionally stable material with a good co-efficient of friction. Dimensions from 5 to 20 mm with standard and fine pitch threads are available.
