Queensland-based IT company Technisyst Computing has formed a strategic alliance with a leading US software developer, to deliver cutting edge software that will help companies and organisations increase their productivity.

In a coup for an Australian company, Technisyst Computing was selected by US company CyberMetrics to wirelessly enable its flagship maintenance management software, FaciliWorks. CyberMetrics is a leader in the calibration and computerised maintenance management software (CMMS) market.

Technisyst Computing Managing Director Brian Webb said this means FaciliWorks will now be accessible by workers in the field using handheld devices. They will be able to receive work orders in real-time and, as work is carried out, FaciliWorks is automatically updated wirelessly.

"More and more businesses and organisations have recognised the need to be able to communicate quickly and efficiently with their mobile workforce and we are delivering state-of-the-art technology that will enable them to do this," Webb said.

The deal is expected to be worth in excess of $20 million over five years to Technisyst and will allow the company to tap into the multi-million dollar US maintenance repair operations market. Under the two-way deal, Technisyst will also sell and support CyberMetrics' full suite of products in Australia and New Zealand.
