National Manufacturing Week 2006, held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 30 to June 2, has cemented its position as Australia's leading manufacturing technology exhibition, with positive feedback from exhibitors and visitors alike.

The exhibition had more than 12 000 trade visitors across the four days, and the great majority of exhibitors reported high-quality inquiries and strong leads.

"The overwhelming feedback from both exhibitors and visitors has been extremely positive, with early indications that significant business will result directly from the exhibition," said John Gorton, director - industrial with Reed Exhibitions.

"We would like to congratulate all the exhibitors, along with the supporting organisations, who helped make NMW 2006 such a successful event for everyone "“ and express our thanks for their support."

Preliminary audience figures show that total visits over the four days was 12 169, and a total of 3 823 exhibitor personnel attended.

Next year, NMW 2007 will return to the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre, and will be held from May 22-25. Exhibitor bookings are now being taken for next year's exhibition.

And for those looking to reach Queensland's manufacturing industry, Reed Exhibitions is also taking bookings for QMan 2006, Queensland's Manufacturing Technology Exhibition, to be held October 17-19 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
