Matthews Intelligent Identification has signed to EPCglobal Australia, the peak industry body establishing RFID standards for the supply chain.

EPCglobal is a joint venture between EAN International and the Uniform Code Council (UCC); EAN Australia heads the Australian arm of EPCglobal, which is leading development of industry-driven standards for the Electronic Product Code (EPC) Network to support RFID use in fast-moving, information-rich trading networks.

Fiona Wilson, general manager of Standards Development for EAN Australia, says Matthews is the first coding, labelling and automatic data-capture company - and just the second organisation in Australia - to sign with EPCglobal as a solution partner.

Matthews is a foundation partner of EAN's Knowledge Centre and has just re-committed to its Strategic Alliance partnership with EAN Australia.
