Honeywell Process Solutions has announced that Mongolian petroleum distributor Magnai Trade Co Ltd has selected Honeywell to provide a complete automation system for its oil terminal in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. This is Honeywell's first Experion PKS project in Mongolia.

"Automating our depot with Experion PKS is an important step in our drive to enhance customer satisfaction and make distribution more efficient. We believe that the result will stand as a model terminal in Mongolia," said Mr J Byambatsogt, Magnai Trade Deputy Director.

Magnai Trade distributes 25% of Mongolia's petroleum supply, importing refined products from neighbouring countries by rail car. Honeywell will automate the company's main oil depot with a comprehensive terminal automation and control system, integrated with Honeywell's Experion PKS Process Knowledge System.

The terminal automation and control system will automate and control processes throughout the terminal, including unloading products from rail cars to tanks, receiving customer orders, loading operations and invoicing.
