Crown ranks with the best at design awards

Forklift technology developer and manufacturer Crown Equipment finished in a high position in this year's prestigious ranking (2002-2003) made by a German awards body, thereby highlighting the amount of design intensity put behind developing these industrial vehicles.
Specifically, Crown was placed third in each of the 'Special Use Vehicles' and 'Manufacturers' categories.
In the category of 'Special Use Vehicles', Ranking: Design placed Crown in third place behind BMW and Alexander Neumeister and ahead of Porsche and Deutsche Bahn. The 'Manufacturers' category also placed the company third behind BMW and Siemens, yet ahead of DaimlerChrysler and Bombardier.
Effectively, Crown not only ranked alongside elite international manufacturers and designers such as these, it also finished ahead of other companies well known for design quality such as Audi and Jaguar.
