Australia's premier rail industry event, AusRAIL PLUS 2003 conference and exhibition, will be held at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour, on November 17-19, 2003.

This annual conference and biennial exhibition comes during a crucial period for Australia's rail industry when the country's biggest rail construction project of the last 30 years - Alice Springs to Darwin - is nearing completion. Metropolitan rail projects will also feature strongly over the next 12 months, including Sydney's Chatswood to Parramatta link.

AusRAIL PLUS 2003 combines for the first time the members' forum of the Australasian Railway Association (ARA) with four major industry groups: the Rail Track Association of Australia (RTAA), the Australian Railway Industry Corporation (ARIC), the Railway Technical Society of Australasia (RTSA), and the Institute of Railway Signal Engineers (IRSE).

AusRAIL PLUS 2003 will feature local and international speakers from all sectors of the rail industry, focusing on freight and passenger services, research and development, national transport policies and technical engineering breakthroughs.

The exhibition at AusRAIL PLUS 2003 will display up to 100 exhibitors who will showcase their latest products, services and technology for the rail industry.
