A new era for IICA's Control News journal

With a plan to expand their existing membership and to add extra value to existing members, the Institute of Instrumentation, Control & Automation (IICA) have partnered with Westwick-Farrow Publishing (What's New in Process Technology) to produce their journal, Control News.

From March 2006 onwards, Control News will be published quarterly inside What's New in Process Technology (WNIPT). IICA members who are not already registered readers of WNIPT will be added to the distribution of the magazine, and Control News will have a distinct design and feel to make it clearly stand out.

Control News will carry IICA industry and division news, technical articles and an events diary and will now be delivered to just under 10,000 readers across the automation, control and instrumentation sector (previous distribution was 1000 copies).

IICA Federal Secretariat, Maruta Rodan, explained the key reasons behind the alliance with Westwick-Farrow Publishing.

"The IICA believes that as a peak industry body, an alignment with the Westwick-Farrow Publishing via the linkage of Control News with What's New in Process Technology, will bring considerable benefits to this Institute. Specifically, there will be a significant lift in the IICA's visibility and profile arising from the virtually ten fold increase in exposure of Control News as well as a pool of potential new membership prospects arising from that increased reach. Last, but not least, I am confident that this relationship sets the scene for future collaboration that will provide mutual value adding to both the Westwick-Farrow Publishing group and the IICA." Ms Rodan said.
