Citect has announced the award of an AU$4 million contract for three major gas projects with Hong Kong-listed company, China Gas Holdings Limited.

"This is a very important win for Citect and brings the number of large gas projects we have won in China to over 20, further extending our market share, as well as our reputation as the most reliable industrial automatic solution provider in China," said Han Weining, Director of Asia Operations, Citect.

Together with Brisbane-based technology partners, MOX Products, Citect was selected to deliver turnkey solutions including software and professional services for the monitoring and control of the three gas pipelines in the cities of Wuhu, Huainan and Yichang in the Central/West regions of China. Each pipeline will distribute gas to over four million people. The projects will start immediately and are due for completion in March, June, and December 2004 respectively.
