Emerson DeltaV distributed control system

The DeltaV distributed control system (DCS) helps plants improve operations by harnessing today’s predictive technologies in an easy, intuitive and interoperable way to connect people, processes and production.

DeltaV provides I/O on demand and is highly scalable, regardless of plant size. Embedded Intelligent Control means that specialised expertise is not required.

The DeltaV distributed control system removes the complexity of using the latest technologies and embeds specialised knowledge, improving operations.

With DeltaV’s Electronic Marshalling, I/O changes can be made where and when they are needed without costly engineering and schedule delays. Making late project changes is now easier and less costly, because new field wiring can be added to cabinets at any time with no impact on the system architecture. DeltaV Electronic Marshalling lets users land field cabling wherever they want, regardless of signal type or control strategies.

DeltaV CHARacterization Modules (CHARMs) completely eliminate the cross-wiring from the marshalling panel to the I/O card - regardless of signal type - so users are no longer held to predefined specifications, reducing wiring and engineering time.
