Pneumatic rotary actuator

SMC Pneumatics has available pneumatic rotary actuators capable of stable speeds as low as 5 s to complete a 90° of rotation.

One of the challenges often faced with automated workpiece handling is the need for both stable and low-speed rotation. SMC recognised this and introduced two rotary actuators: CRQ2X and MSQX.

The shaft type CRQ2X and the table type MSQX share many of the same features as the CRQ2 and MSQ rotary actuator ranges. However, with the addition of constructional elements such as special surface treatment, slow speed grease and removal of the rubber cushion, these rotary actuators can be adjusted to provide stable, slow-speed, lurch-free rotation capable of rotating as slow as 5 s to complete a 90° turn.

Both models can be ordered in various sizes with rotation angles up to 190° and torque outputs up to 10 Nm (depending on model).
