Lock nut cylinders

The Locknut cylinders range is available in single acting mode from 30 to 1100 t in the ST series and, for confined space applications, Larzep STX pancake lock nut cylinders are available from 50 to 550 ts capacity.

The load return cylinders are designed to hold masses mechanically for extended periods of time due to their lock nut ring. When the cylinder is extended to the required height, the locking ring is screwed down to contact the gland area of the cylinder and the load will remain held for as long as is required, without the need for pressure being introduced to the cylinder.

The STX range of cylinders has a special nitrating process applied to improve corrosion resistance in harsh environments and increase performance under side load situations.

Both the ST and STX range of cylinders have available optional tilting saddles used for increased performance under side loading conditions. The cylinders are suitable for use in industrial and mining applications including foundation supporting; bridge construction and maintenance; heavy build construction; mining equipment maintenance; and shipbuilding.

The ST range has strokes available from 50 to 300 mm and the STX range is typically 45 mm stroke.
