Siemens Sitrans FST020 clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeter

The Sitrans FST020 clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeter is designed specifically for basic applications that only require flow reading functionality along with easy communication capabilities. The device measures almost any liquid and meets the specific requirements of industries such as water and wastewater, HVAC, power and chemical. The flowmeter can be installed on pipes up to DN 9000 (9000 mm) in size and, because of the simplified configuration options and set-up, can be quickly commissioned.

It features single channel measurement, RS232 communication and a simple and user-friendly design to help with easy set-up and configuration. The clamp-on flowmeter is particularly suitable for retrofit applications and installations where corrosive, toxic or high pressure liquids rule out the option of cutting the pipe.

The accuracy of the flowmeter is in the 1-2% range and also features the optional Siemens transit time ultrasonic WideBeam sensor technology, offering high repeatability and sensitivity to changes in fluid type or physical properties.
