Rittmeyer clamp-on ultrasonic flow sensor for the Risonic module

Friday, 30 May, 2014 | Supplied by: Automated Control Pty Ltd

Rittmeyer has introduced a clamp-on sensor for the Risonic module, providing ultrasonic (transit time) flow measurement in water supplies without the need for drilling, process connection, insertion of sensing module or interruption of process in a large variety of pipe materials.

The sensor has a magnetic mounting frame which allows measurement of flow in partially exposed pipes and can be used in permanent installations or non-magnetic pipes with use of adhesive. The mounting can be left in position and the sensor removed for periodic inspection applications or for ease of replacement.

The sensor can be used to measure water flow from 0.5 m/s to 20 m/s, with an accuracy of up to 1.5% of measured flow in pipe diameters between 0.3 and 3 m.
