Hach’s FilterTrak laser nephelometer can detect changes in turbidity as low as 0.0005 NTU. The high resolution is made possible by advanced laser optics and signal processing, allowing the instrument to detect increased concentrations of submicron-sized particles that are a precursor to larger particles. This allows for early filter deterioration detection that meets or exceeds that of particle counters. Operators can detect impending filter breakthrough, delineate filter ripening and maximise effective filter run time.
Applications include recycled water plants, drinking water plants, power stations, micro filtration and reverse osmosis filtering.
The instrument meets all USEPA filtering monitoring requirements and is compatible with all Hach controllers including the sc200 or sc1000 digital controllers. The FilterTrak can also manage up to 18 different digital sensors. The FT660 is built to ‘plug and play’ without any additional software configuration.
