Magnetic flowmeters are commonly used for the metering of liquids. They are easily installed, non-intrusive and easy to calibrate. DensFlow is a magnetic flowmeter for solids. It is easily installed, non-intrusive and easy to calibrate.

As its name implies, DensFlow is used for dense phase applications. The outputs are 4-20 mA and RS485 Modbus. The outputs that are presented are flow rate, velocity and density. The expected accuracy of the system is between 2-5%.

The sensor pipe housing is to IP65 and the DensFlow sizes are 20, 25, 32, 50, 65, 80, 100 and 125 mm.

Typical applications for DensFlow include pulverised coal injection (PCI) systems for coal-fired blast furnaces and pulveriser coal feed systems for coal-fired power stations.
