FiberSensing BraggMeter fibre Bragg grating interrogator

The FiberSensing extended temperature BraggMeter is a low power measurement unit for operation over an extended temperature range, specifically designed to interrogate fibre Bragg grating (FBG) sensors in severe environmental conditions.

The real-time operating system makes the FS2100XT unit suitable for harsh environment applications requiring long run times or low power operation. The unit has an ethernet interface, which allows its remote connection to any regular PC through TCP/IP. The unit can be fully controlled using SCPI commands.

The extended temperature measurement unit employs continuous swept laser scanning technology to measure the absolute Bragg wavelength. It includes a NIST traceable wavelength reference that provides continuous calibration to ensure system accuracy over full temperature range during long-term operation. The large dynamic range and output power allow high resolution to be attained even for long fibre leads and lossy connections.

This fanless FBG interrogator is housed in an IP65 aluminium enclosure allowing the unit to perform under conditions of cold, dust, heat, salt, fog and humidity. It is therefore suitable for demanding field deployments, such as oil and gas applications.
