Electro-Chemical Devices Model X80 hazardous area transmitter

The Electro-Chemical Devices (ECD) Model X80 hazardous location transmitter is designed to deliver continuous analytical measurement in explosion-proof and Ex d hazardous environments. Built around the capabilities of ECD’s T80 universal transmitter platform, the X80 supports single- or dual-channel measurement of pH, ORP, pION, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, conductivity and resistivity.

The transmitter digitally communicates with ECD S88 and S80 intelligent sensors, automatically configuring menus and display screens to match the measured parameter. Factory-calibrated intelligent sensors store sensor data, helping simplify commissioning, maintenance and replacement in challenging industrial environments.

Engineered with a durable stainless steel enclosure, the X80 is suitable for explosion-proof hazardous applications and offers non-intrusive calibration, allowing technicians to calibrate without opening the enclosure or declassifying the area. The unit features an easy-to-read graphic LCD display, intuitive menu structure, 4–20 mA output, Modbus RTU, alarm relays and HART communication.

With pipe- or wall-mounting options and ATEX, IECEx and FM approvals, the X80 is designed to give process operators a flexible transmitter platform for process measurement applications where safety, reliability and ease of operation are critical across multiple operating sites and industries.
