ORing’s RGS-7244GP gigabit managed switch is designed for harsh industrial environments and applications with long transmission distance requirements such as a thermal power plant.

The RGS-7244GP is an industrial 28-port rackmount managed gigabit switch with 24 10/100/1000Base-Tx and four 1000Base-X SFP ports. The fast redundant O-Ring recovery time (<20 ms over 250 units), MSTP/RSTP/STP (IEEE 802.1s/w/d) ethernet redundancy and multiple warning notifications sent to the operator are designed to ensure that mission-critical applications are protected from network interruptions or temporary malfunctions. The extended operating temperature (-10 to 60°C) and the anti-vibration feature protects against harsh outdoor or industrial environments.

Measuring 443.7 x 200 x 44 mm, the RGS-7244GP is designed to be 19 rackmountable, and features redundant input power 100-240 VAC with a typical power consumption of 30 W. The switch also features support for Jumbo frames up to 9 KB, IGMP snooping support for filtering multicast traffic and user authentication for security.
