The Pepperl+Fuchs LS682 optical data couplers are said to maintain constant data rates over the entire distance of their range to provide a stable and consistently strong connection. Datagrams are not stored, which means that instant data transfer of 100 Mbps full duplex can be achieved. When mounting the optical data coupler, no minimum distance has to be considered since it can provide data transmission beginning at distance 0. This allows optimum use of existing space and easy commissioning.
