Weidmuller FrontCom Micro range USB-A to USB-B coupler

Weidmüller has added to its FrontCom Micro range with the release of its USB-A to USB-B coupler. The FrontCom Micro range is a panel-mount, IP65-protected communications port that is simply fixed to a commonly used 22.5 mm hole. The range allows technicians to easily access PLCs, drives and HMIs located in switchboards and cabinets for routine maintenance, reprogramming and upgrading without the need to expose themselves to high-voltage equipment.

Together with the USB-A to USB-B coupler, other models include a USB-A to USB-A coupler, an RJ45/RJ45 coupler or an RJ45/Ethernet IDC connection. All models provide IP65 connection at the electrical cabinet, control panel or distribution box via a single, central screw coupling.

The FrontCom Micro all-in-one design provides a robust push on/pull off rubber cap that is attached to the body of the coupler and is easy to open and close. The flexible, push and pull cover provides protection from dust and dirt when the coupler is not in use.

The FrontCom Micro range also utilises Steadytec technology, claimed to provide speeds of up to Cat 6A (10 Gbps) and 750 insertions without errors while meeting all industry standards.
