Nexen RPS stainless steel roller pinion racks

Tuesday, 23 July, 2013 | Supplied by: Norman G Clark Pty Ltd

Nexen Group has expanded its roller pinion system (RPS) by adding a full line of stainless steel racks. The RPS is already known for its high positional accuracy, zero backlash, high efficiency, high stiffness, low noise and low maintenance. Adding the corrosion resistance of the stainless steel product line ensures there is a solution to fit any linear motion application.

The company’s precipitation hardened stainless steel is said to be the ideal material when strength, fatigue resistance, high stiffness and corrosion resistance are required. Compared to 303 stainless steel or 6061-T6 aluminium, stainless steel can offer twice the load and life capacity while maintaining similar corrosion-resistant properties.

The company’s stainless steel RPS has already proved its robustness in a variety of applications where traditional steel rack and pinion failed, including food packaging, semiconductors and clean room industries.
