The FLIR T400-Series was designed for the user looking to combine ergonomics and performance with a high image quality of 320 x 240 pixels. They have a tiltable optical unit which makes it possible to measure and take images of objects in all angles, still in a comfortable working position.

The low-end T420 models provide a 4x digital zoom and a measuring temperature range of -20 to 650ºC (T420bx -20 to 350ºC), while the high-end FLIR T440 and T440bx models are equipped with the multispectral dynamic imaging (MSX) feature, which produces a more detail-rich image, as well as an 8x digital zoom.

MSX produces better texture in a thermal image so that more anomalies can be detected. FLIR T440 measures temperatures between -20 and 1200ºC (T440bx -20 and 650ºC).

Objects of interest, both on the thermal image and the visual image, can be highlighted by sketching directly on the camera touch screen. An ‘instant report’ of the inspection (with sketches or other text comments included) can be created directly in the FLIR T440.

Built-in Wi-Fi allows the connection of smart phones or tablet PCs for the wireless transfer of images or remote control of the camera. The Bluetooth-based Meterlink function transfers readings from external measurement instruments to the thermal image.

Every FLIR T400-Series camera comes with FLIR Tools software. FLIR Tools allow thermal images to be exported directly from the FLIR T400-Series to a PC for basic reporting and analysis.
