End-suction pump

The range of Grundfos NBG/NKG end-suction pumps has energy-efficient motors that conform to the MEPS Standard. Optimised flow geometries of the impeller and pump casing have reduced the hydraulic friction and thus the amount of energy consumed.

The range also has cataphoresis treatment on all housing surfaces, which virtually eliminates corrosion even in the toughest operating environments. All pump parts including the impellers (cast iron) are also coated with zinc phosphate to increase corrosion resistance still further. The CED treatment of the components makes them significantly smoother. This reduces friction and losses of energy often seen in pumps with rough surfaces and thereby improves the efficiency.

The Grundfos WinCAPS software tool means users can select and finetune each part of their pumping solution.

The range has a ‘back pull-out’ system which makes maintenance simple and cost effective. Both models allow for the removal of the impeller without dismantling the pump housing or pipework.

Maintenance is further enhanced by a system with impeller wear rings, which means that users only need to change the high-wear parts. The easily replaceable wear rings are also claimed to prolong the life of the pump.
