Belden FiberExpress Brilliance optic fibre termination kits

Belden’s Brilliance connectors are designed to provide quick and reliable termination of optical fibre in the field without tools with three simple steps: insertion of the fibre into the connector; sliding the connector’s switch-like activator tab toward the fibre to be terminated to bring about the splice/crimp; sliding the boot on the connector body.

Belden has also developed installation kits to allow installers to easily and cost-effectively transition to FiberExpress Brilliance connector technology.

The Belden field installation kit is provided in a pouch that includes extra pockets for additional flexibility. It can be carried three different ways - shoulder strap, belt and handle - and includes an installation guide that provides all the instructions necessary to ensure a successful fibre termination with troubleshooting and cleaning tips and a laminated measuring card. A demonstration video is also included.

The installation kit contains all the accessories of the field installation kit plus a precision cleaver. The precision cleaver can achieve good quality cleaves at a much higher volume (up to 10 times more) than a field cleaver. Optical performance achieved with this kit exceeds TIA requirements, representing a cost-effective, high-quality cleaving solution for users without having to use a microscope to verify the cleave.
