GE Panametrics TransPort PT878GC portable ultrasonic gas flow meter
The GE Panametrics TransPort PT878GC offers a portable solution for ultrasonic gas flow measurement in pipes. The system operates on the transit-time principle and clamps on externally for unobstructed internal flow. The system is available to rent.
Compatible with metal or plastic pipes with sizes between 20 and 300 mm, the meter can be used for applications involving compressed air, natural gas and most other gases, without the need to cut pipes. Readouts for flow velocity, actual or standard volumetric flow, and mass flow are available in numerical or graphical format.
The PT878GC features internal logging for 100,000 flow data points and has an infrared communications port to interface with a PC or printer. The rechargeable battery provides 8 h of continuous operation.
