Chevron boosts professional development for graduate engineers
Chevron Australia is boosting the professional development of its new engineering graduates, signing a Professional Development Program (PDP) with Engineers Australia.
The program aims to assist the energy industry attract the brightest and best minds for the future. Through the program, engineering graduates can accelerate their development to qualify as a chartered engineer. It also fosters a supportive learning environment and gives graduates an external benchmark for professional development and recognition.
“This program will allow our young engineers to develop the competencies of a mature engineering professional, in a structured and supported way,” said Chevron’s General Manager Human Resources Kaye Butler. “This is important for individuals, the company and the profession.”
“Investing in people, partnerships and technology will help position Perth as an intellectual and technological centre of excellence benefiting the Chevron-operated Gorgon and Wheatstone Projects and the broader energy industry in Australia,” said Roy Krzywosinski, Chevron Managing Director.
