Champion sets five-year safety record
Australian compressed air specialist Champion Compressors has recently chalked up five years without a ‘lost-time injury’ in any of its workplaces.
This significant safety milestone cements Champion’s reputation as one of the country’s most safety-conscious and responsible employers.
"Champion Compressors nurtures a culture of safety among its employees and considers this its priority," said Champion Compressors EHS coordinator, Simon Meyrick.
"A safety-conscious and confident workforce is inherently efficient, which results in more cost-effective products for the end user.”
Champion Compressors adopts a three-pronged safety strategy, implementing initiatives which target safety in the final products, corporate administration and field services.
“Champion is achieving these high standards of safety by empowering its staff through regular training, re-enforcement and equality among its employees,” said Meyrick.
“This directive comes all the way from senior management and drives the company’s pursuit of safety awareness.”
